Retaining Walls
Retaining walls provide an effective earth stabalisation solution to safely retain separate pieces of adjacent land when they are located on two different elevations. The purpose of the structure is to permanently hold and stabalise the ground at the different heights, whilst also maintaining the stability of the earth to protect against the movements such as land slides and soil erosion.
Retaining walls can be constructed from a variety of matertials including:
- Timber
- Concrete
- Natural rock
- Brick retaining walls
